The procurement and use of information and communication technology (ICT) is central to modern business operations. Successful employers understand the critical role that ICT plays in workplace productivity and efficiency, but they may be missing an important piece of the puzzle – accessibility. To fully participate in the workforce and be as productive as possible, job applicants and employees with disabilities must be able to access and use technology and information in a manner comparable to their non-disabled peers.
This webinar, hosted by the Employer Assistance and Resource Network on Disability Inclusion (EARN), will explore effective practices for procuring accessible ICT, including how to develop comprehensive strategic action plans for ICT purchasing, maintenance and use. Guest panelists will share expertise on topics such as securing leadership support, conducting needs assessments to determine organizational priorities, and establishing policies and procedures for accessible ICT procurement.
