The Federal Government has committed to serving as a model employer of people with disabilities. Clearly, a central component of this is effective provision of reasonable accommodations, which are key to agencies’ responsibilities as delineated in Section 501 of the Rehabilitation Act. In this webinar, participants will learn about best practices for implementing and evaluating reasonable accommodations as well as resources that can assist in strengthening accommodation policies and processes within their agencies. All Federal Exchange on Employment and Disability (FEED) members and other interested federal employees are encouraged to participate.
Speakers will include:
- Brett Sheats (Moderator), National Project Director, EARN
- Anupa Iyer, Policy Advisor, Office of Federal Operations, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission
- Vonda K. Bell, Acting Director, Office of Agency Services and Acting Chief Human Capital Officer, Farm Credit Administration
- Tracie DeFreitas, Lead Consultant, Job Accommodation Network
