The U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy recently published a new guide on disability-inclusive apprenticeship, titled “Apprenticeship Works for Business: A Guide to Building Inclusive Workplaces.” The guide is part of a series that introduces employers, young people, educators and service providers to the benefits and opportunities of apprenticeship programs for underrepresented groups, including people with disabilities. Combining classroom instruction with on-the-job training, apprenticeship programs help bridge skills gaps and bring new and more diverse talent into the workplace.
