On June 25, 2021, President Biden issued Executive Order 14035: Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility in the Federal Workforce. The policy of the Biden Administration is to cultivate a workforce that draws from the full diversity of the Nation. The EO states that the Federal Government must be a model for diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility (DEIA) and must strengthen its ability to recruit, hire, develop, promote and retain our Nation’s talent and remove barriers to equal opportunity. The EO establishes that DEIA are priorities and outlines procedures to advance these priorities across the federal workforce.
