Developing Effective Collaborations & Partnerships to Advance the Employment of Individuals with Disabilities in the Federal Sector

This guide provides a checklist of internal and external communications strategies to help establish effective collaborations between federal agencies and external partners to promote federal employment of people with disabilities. It also outlines steps for establishing and growing an employee resource group (ERG), including identifying short-term goals and implementing methods for long-term accountability. The strategies highlighted in the guide help improve collaboration and communication between employees with disabilities and managers in the federal sector, while advancing inter- and intra-agency collaborations to support federal diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility (DEIA) goals.
